Fabric, Fabric Everywhere!!

I've been looking at my fabric stash today trying to decide what my next project is going to be.  I have some super cute new patterns that I am dying to try out, but I just have to decide on the perfect fabric.  I love fabric and probably have way too much, but it is just so much fun with all the great design that is out there.

So I can admit it, my name is Lindsay and I am a fabricaholic - there I said it!  There are so many amazing fabric designers in the market today that just looking at their designs inspires me to create.  Maybe you have toyed with the idea of taking up sewing or perhaps you are already a seasoned sewer, but if you aren't familiar with some of the top designers out there right now, you must check them out!  I thought I would share some of my favorites with you.

Check them out and you will see what I mean (and many of them also have scrapbooking lines as well.....for my scrapbookaholic friends.....you know who you are :-).  Whether you are currently using fabric in whatever your crafting hobby may be, I guarantee you will get the creative bug once you check out some of these designers.

Heather Bailey:  Really fresh florals with mix of vintage and mod.

Heather has a new line coming out soon called "Nicey Jane" - I will definitely be making my daughter Matilda Jane a dress from "Nicey Jane" when it comes out.  PS:  My Mom's name is Jane too!!

Things I sewed/made for my daughter Savannah's room - Heather Bailey "Freshcut"

Amy Butler: Girly bold florals, geometric, with a mix of romantic flare.
Amy has a new line that just came out - Amy Butler "Love" - Really pretty stuff - check it out!

Dress I made for Savannah's 1st Birthday - Amy Butler "Midwest Modern"

Alexander Henry - Modern, quirky, Asian, fun prints - great for boys or girls.

Knot Dress I made yesterday - Alexander Henry "Nursery"

Art Gallery Fabrics: Beautiful florals, feminine, absolutely gorgeous prints

I have yet to make anything from Art Gallery yet, but I am dying to get my hands on the "girly girl" line.

Moda Fabrics:  Great versatile lines for all types of projects - quilting, fashion, seasonal sewing, traditional to modern, no matter what your style, it is easy to find something you will like from Moda.  They have many different designers such as April Cornell, Mary Engelbreit, Tula Pink, and the list goes on.

Moda - "Hunky Dory" Line

Anna Maria Horner: A lot of her fabric has a very "painting" like feel to it - just beautiful!

Anna Maria Horner - "Drawing Room"

There are many more designers and I could go on for pages and pages, but I will leave you with my favorites for right now.  I hope you will check out their sites and be inspired to create!

Happy Crafting!
