Women in Direct Sales ~ 5 Books to Have

As you know, I just returned from a Leadership Conference in Newport Beach for Bamboopink. We learned from so many fantastic speakers about women in business for themselves. I love this quote, "If you wait for everything to be perfect, you will miss the perfect opportunity." So many creative women pass up great opportunities because they are not confident enough to take that "leap of faith". Sometimes, you have to just go for it! I really enjoyed listening to Carolyn Zainer, an interior designer by trade, as well as a fellow consultant for Bamboopink. Confident and enthusiastic are two adjectives that come to mind when I think of Carolyn ~ she and I hit it off immediately. Her wealth of knowledge in direct sales inspired me, and she also shared some wonderful books to learn even more. I ordered these for myself today.

Thank you Carolyn, I am honored to know you. See the list of books for purchase below:

Success Tips: How to Grow your Bamboopink Business

If you are a regular BB&B reader, you are well aware of the launch of Bamboopink! I can hardly contain my excitement! For those of you who have jumped on board, I want to help you grow your team into a successful career. For those of you who are not on board yet, don't delay - this is gong to be huge.
Bamboopink Jewelry
I have a few key points to share. These tips are not only for Bamboopink.
You can apply these tips to just about any online business.
I have 3 main BFF’s for Success with Bamboopink!

B for Blog ~ F for Facebook ~ F for Flyers to nearby colleges.

Now – I am not telling you to do all three, but you certainly can if you want to jump to the next level.

Blog – I am a watercolor artist and 2 years ago I decided to start a blog to gain exposure on the internet. Today I have over 2100 followers and 2500 subscribers via email. My blog is responsible for 70% of traffic to my online store where I sell my watercolors. And the best part – is that it’s absolutely FREE. You can go to Blogger.com and start a blog within a matter of minutes.

Facebook – it’s free and it works. Networking is the name of the game and there is no faster medium out there. So get on today if you aren’t already.

Flyers to colleges. Every one of you lives close to a college. Print up some flyers that cater to the younger college student. Lead your flyer with “Would you like to earn some extra income?" Drop the flyers off in high traffic areas – library, commons area. The people who use social media are the ones who will succeed in this company, and every college student out there knows what a blog is, has a facebook page, and wants to earn extra money! So get them on board.

Bamboopink Jewelry

Do you realize that we are the ones building this company? We have the power to achieve a lifelong career and form lifelong friendships – I know I have already made a couple friends through this adventure that I will keep in touch with for the rest of my life – be passionate – be strong – be excited - it’s contagious!

Bright Finds: Canon EOS Rebel Camera

Today's Bright Find is the Canon EOS Rebel camera. If I could give Etsy Shop owners only 1 tip for success, it would be to "take great photos". If you have a wonderful product, but the photos do not show them well, you will not sell. It's just that simple. It is also just as important as a blogger to capture good quality shots.
canon
Invest in a good quality camera if you are serious about growing your business. I love my Canon because it takes wonderful interior shots even with low lighting.

Monday Inspiration and Blogging Success Tips

I have seen so many inspirational blog posts that have come from attending the
Alt Design Summit. I think I better join the forces and attend one of these amazing conferences soon!
I love these tips from Tina of SwissMiss via Design for Mankind
1. Nobody can tell you what’s best for you.
2. Surrounding yourself with smart people is key.
3. Don’t just talk; do it. (If it fails, move on.)
4. Be kind and generous. It comes back to you.
5. Your enthusiasm and integrity are your biggest assets.
6. It is possible.
This list from Erin of Apartment34 is just as thought provoking!
1. Collaborate, collaborate, collaborate
2. Hold regular kickin' resource parties
3. Aspire to be uber-nice (like Erin Loechner, aka the human sparkler)
– it’s so much better than the alternative

... and one more list (too long to copy and paste, but definitely worth the read)
is by Marisa on Creative Thursday.

A fantastic list of resources on Not Martha that you don't want to miss!
I hope this inspires you today! Have a super week, and
stay tuned for a fabulous giveaway!
