Happy Easter from Chincoteague!

We are having the best time riding bikes, walking down Main Street and visiting the local shops in Chincoteague. Our favorite stop is the Main Street Shop and Coffeehouse featuring local artisans and their crafts. Wishing you and your family a very
happy Easter weekend!

Chincoteague Island on the Eastern Shore

We are headed to Chincoteague this weekend for a little rest and relaxation.... I am excited to rent bikes and ride around Assateague Island where the wild ponies are. If you are not familiar with the Eastern Shore, it's a wonderful family vacation with a laid back attitude... Ahhh, just what I need.

Monday Inspiration

Vacation used to be a luxury, but in today's world it has become a necessity.
~Author Unknown
I love this quote. We all need to decompress every once in a while. Any vacation plans coming up soon for you? We are taking a little trip up to Chincoteague next week. I love it there because you feel like you are back in time and everything moves a little slower.

Beautiful Destinations: Nisbet Plantation

I guess you could definitely say that I am a beach person! Before my art career took off, I was a travel agent for 10 years, and visited over 12 different islands in the Caribbean. I have started a series called Beautiful Destinations. In this series, I will document resorts which I have personally visited and highly recommend for your much needed vacation or honeymoon spot!
I will start with Nisbet Plantation Beach Club: an intimate Caribbean resort and hotel on the unspoiled island of Nevis - the island time forgot. The plantation's beautifully-restored 1778 Great House and 36 charming cottages are spread among 30 acres of lush tropical foliage. A casually elegant Nevis resort, Nisbet has been recognized as one of the best small luxury hotels in the Caribbean by the major travel magazines.
For me, Nisbet Plantation stands out from the rest with its 16 individual bungalows scattered throughout the property. This is privacy at its finest. A wonderful place to forget about the daily grind and relax in luxury... and it's even more beautiful in person!

Ski vs Beach

When planning your winter vacation, do you think beach or ski? Which do you prefer? I myself am a "beach" kind of girl! I love the crystal clear turquoise waters and hot sand in between my toes.
