Lauren Liess is the Bold Vision behind Pure Style Home. She is a twenty-something year-old wife & mom with her own interior design business. In her words, "My design philosophy, "pure style," is based on keeping things simple, happy & beautiful. Everyone has his or her own personal style and I believe our homes should embody us. The best way to do this is to weed out all of the unnecessaries and by keeping & seeking only what you love, your home will be truly yours."
My favorite thing about reading Lauren's blog, is her honesty. Her posts are fresh, informative and straight from the heart. I am particularly drawn to this post, More than one way to skin a cat. She talks about how she gets to know her client's wants and needs, and how that will determine the style for their home.

I love her analogy with design and art. She states, "Show a photo of a rat to Monet, Van Gogh, and Da Vinci and have them paint it. Each of the 3 paintings would be totally different yet all of the same rat. Think of the rat as the "style" and the Painter as the "designer" with his/ her own aproach/ aesthetic." There is more than one way to skin a cat!
